2019 Conclave on Automating Construction Projects

On February 28 and March 1, the 2019 Conclave on Automating Construction Projects was held at Institute of Construction and Infrastructure Management on ETH Hönggerberg campus.  The conclave was hosted by ETH, and was in collaboration with Cambridge University, TU Berlin, University of Waterloo, and NYU Abu Dhabi. 

Six professors gave keynote speeches on innovative ideas of developing methodologies and tools to automate construction projects. Also the doctoral students and postdoctoral students under the supervision of each professor presented their research work. Jens Hunhevicz introduced his research on the future role and opportunities of distributed ledger technologies within the construction industry. Jianpeng Cao presented his research on the industry 4.0 configuration platform aimed at achieving vertical integration and mass customization in the industrialized construction.
